ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Senior Lily DeBlasio was a key figure in both of the Elizabethtown College field hockey team's wins this past week. DeBlasio was named the Landmark Field Hockey Defensive Athlete of the Week on Monday.

The senior made eight saves against Catholic last Tuesday as they entered the night with the Jays unbeaten in the Landmark. DeBlasio and crew helped put an end to that, beating the Cardinals in a shootout. DeBlasio made a few stops to allow Etown the opportunity to come away with a 3-2 shootout win.

She came back on Saturday to win her Senior Day game with six saves. Her first of the game, which came in the third quarter, was her 100th save of the season. DeBlasio made a few saves right in front of her goal and wound up shutting out the Warriors.

DeBlasio was named the Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.
