LANCASTER, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall got the better of the Elizabethtown College women's soccer team Tuesday night at Tylus Field as the Diplomats went on to beat the Blue Jays, 5-1.
Sky Shinnen scored her first of the season for Etown.
Elizabethtown was limited to just two shots in the first half while the hosts got off eight, two finding the back of the net as F&M led 2-0 at halftime.
The Jays answered back in the 55th minute on Shinnen's goal from the top of the box. Off the corner play,
Ella Fasnacht crossed a ball in from the left wing that the sophomore right back ran onto and her shot was able to arc and beat the F&M goalkeeper to make it 3-1.
Franklin & Marshall would register three second-half goals to pull away.
Erin Winslow, who subbed on after 20 minutes of play, made six saves.
Ella Smith started Tuesday night's match and made one save.
Elizabethtown will host Lebanon Valley on Saturday, September 6, at 1 p.m. with their Senior Day celebration to take place prior to kickoff.
