Seven Blue Jays, Men's Basketball Earns NABC Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo.-- The Elizabethtown men's basketball team along with seven players were recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) as the organization announced, Thursday afternoon. 

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men's basketball programs that completed the 2024-25 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2024-25 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
 
The NABC's academic awards recognize teams and athletes from all levels of college basketball and for the fifth time in program history the Etown men's basketball team earned the Team Academic Award. 

Senior's Alon Gorham, Kyle Ratner, and Rance Russo along with junior's Austin Finarelli, Ben Stanton, EJ Finney, and Reese Ziegler each earned a spot on the NABC Honors Court. Gorham, Ratner, and Russo all earned the honor last year and is also the most players to be honored in program history. 

 Over 2,400 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and nearly 400 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2024-25.
