TOWSON, Md.-- The Elizabethtown College baseball team placed nine Blue Jays on the Landmark All-Conference team which ties the program high.
Quinten Perilli earned his third straight major award and second straight Player of the Year nod while freshman,
AJ Lipscomb was named Rookie of the Year.
Lipscomb along with juniors;
David Woolley,
Mason Woolwine, and Perilli were named to the first team. Junior,
Alex Perrin and freshmen,
Sawyer Martin and
Paul Kvech were named to the second team. Senior,
RJ Agriss and
Joey Smith were each named honorable mention.
Perilli started in all 41 games for the Jays this season as he led the team in hits (55), runs (51), home runs (7), and RBIs (49). This season, the utility player become the all-time program leader with 149 RBIs and most recently became the Landmark Conference career leader in home runs with 31. Perilli also appeared in nine games on the mound grabbing two wins. He totaled 30 strikeouts with a career-high of six vs. Heidelberg and Lycoming.
Lipscomb made 11 appearances on the mound totaling 48.1 innings pitched. The freshman led the Conference with a 1.86 ERA. He recorded 44 total strikeouts while grabbing a career-high of nine at Moravian this season. Lipscomb also appeared in 27 games while totaling 46 at-bats in which he tallied 18 hits and nine RBIs.
Woolley makes his third straight appearance on the first team. The junior shortstop appeared in 36 games, totaling 51 hits, 49 runs, and 29 RBIs. This season he surpassed 100 career RBIs and 100 career walks. Woolley ended his season with his first career grand slam against Scranton in the Landmark Conference Tournament.
Woolwine earns his second all-conference first team nod as he appeared in 35 games. The junior outfielder totaled 49 hits and 24 RBIs while holding a .366 batting average. Woolwine recorded his 100th career-hit earlier season and also recorded his second career grand slam.
Perrin earns his first career Landmark All-Conference honor as he was named to the second team. Perrin appeared in all 41 games while totaling 33 runs, 48 hits, and 19 RBIs.
Martin makes his marke earning second team honors as a freshman. Martin appeared in 39 games in the outfield while totaling 33 runs, 53 hits, nine doubles, and 32 RBIs. He recorded two home runs on the season with one of them being a grand slam.
Kvech earns second team honors as a relief pitcher appearing in 15 games on the mound. The freshman ended the season with a 1.23 ERA while earning two wins and four saves in 22 innings pitched. Kvech totaled 15 strikeouts with a career-high of four against Salisbury.
Agriss was named to the honorable mention team as a DH and first baseman. This is Agriss' second all-conference nod. The senior appeared in 37 games which included 26 runs, 33 hits, 13 doubles, five home runs, and 35 RBIs. Agriss recorded his 100th career hit in the final weekend of the regular season.
Smith rounds out the all-conference nods for the Blue Jays making his first appearance on the team. The sophomore made nine appearances while earning three wins in 49.2 innings pitched. He totaled 18 strikeouts on the season. Smith tied a career-high of five strikeouts vs. Alvernia.
Elizabethtown ends their season with a 29-13 overall record after falling in the Landmark Conference Tournament. The Blue Jays went 19-5 in conference play.
