HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College softball team split with Juniata on Saturday at West End Field. The Blue Jays won game one, 5-3, before the Eagles took game two, 5-4.

Izzy Akelaitis had a game-tying RBI ground out in the second to tie the game at 1-1. Then, in the third,
Hannah Long doubled to center field to score
Brooke Huczko that gave Etown the lead. Long later scored on a wild pitch as the Jays were up by two.
Juniata got a run back in the bottom of the third and then tied the game in the fourth at 3-3.
Jess Dunn singled to left field in the fifth to bring home Long, her second run of the day, and the game-winning run in the end.
Lexi O'Brien gave the Jays an insurance run in the sixth.
Mikaela Benner threw six innings and had two strike outs before
Maddie Reever came on in the seventh to earn the save.
Elizabethtown's nine hits came from nine different players;

Juniata went out in front 2-0 through the first two innings, but Etown worked to get the score even by the fourth. Long singled to short to drive in Galbraith in the third and
Nicole Cecconi hit an RBI single to left to score Dunn to tie it at 2-2.
The Eagles plated a run in the fourth and two more in the fifth, but the Blue Jays didn't go away.
Aydelotte reached on an error that allowed
Riley Nolan to score in the sixth to make it 5-3.
Dahl had an RBI ground out in the top half of the seventh as the Jays tried to rally.Â
Juniata shut the door before another run could score to salvage the sweep.
Elizabethtown will host Neumann on Tuesday, April 15, at 3 and 5 p.m.
