SCRANTON, Pa. -- In their second straight game facing an unbeaten Landmark opponent, this time the Elizabethtown College men's lacrosse team came up short as their unbeaten start to the conference slate ended with a 14-4 defeat at Scranton.

Landon Scully gave the Blue Jays an early lead 1:57 into the game with his unassisted goal. That would be the only goal Elizabethtown would get for over two quarters of action as the Royals took control of the game through the rest of the first and entirety of the second quarter.

The Royals led 3-1 after one, then outscored Etown 8-0 in the second to go in at halftime ahead 11-1.

Lucca Scomillio scored his first of two in the game to break the Jays' scoring drought at 12:28 of the third. He'd score later in the game with 8:30 to go in regulation.

Jake Woodworth also tallied in the third quarter along with Scomillio.

Elizabethtown will host Catholic on Wednesday, April 16, at 6 p.m.
