TOWSON, Md. -- The Elizabethtown College men's lacrosse team scored at least four goals in each quarter as they rolled to a 17-6 win at Goucher. Four Blue Jays recorded hat tricks in the game and
Brayden Franey made 10 saves for his fourth win of the year.
Barely three minutes into the game and Elizabethtown was already ahead 3-0 thanks to goals from
Lucca Scomillio and a pair by
Tristan Coleman.
Reese Levinson made it 4-0 at the 7:23 mark of the first. Goucher then scored twice to halve their deficit, but with under a minute to go in the first,
Landon Scully made it 5-2 on a feed from Coleman.
Scully, Coleman, Scomillio, and Levinson each had the hat tricks for the Jays.
Jake Woodworth added two goals.
The Gophers made it 6-4 after Levinson's early second-quarter goal. Etown got their lead back up to four by halftime as Scomillio scored his second of the first half with 21 seconds before the buzzer.
Elizabethtown dug in defensively in the second half, only allowing one goal over the 30 minutes while the offense continued putting up the goals.
Krasnick, Scomillio, Coleman, and Scully each scored in the third while Franey and the defense didn't concede through the 15 minutes.
EC then outscored Goucher 4-1 in the fourth. Both of Woodworth's goals came in the fourth along with tallies from Scully and
Evan Youndt.
The Jays were 21-for-27 on faceoffs thanks to 10 wins each by
Logan Rolles and
Chance Milhorn. Rolles had a team-high seven ground balls.
