ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.—The Elizabethtown men's basketball team honored seniors
Alon Gorham,
Rance Russo,
Malik Hudges, and
Kyle Ratner prior to the Blue Jays, 78-72 win over Scranton.
Russo led the team with 15 points as he went 7 for 10 from the floor. Gorham totaled 13 points while grabbing four rebounds.
MJ Branker totaled a career-high 12 points and three rebounds.
Scranton led by four early in the half within the first six minutes of play. Minutes later the Royals grabbed an 18-11 lead at the 12 minute mark. A three from
Ben Stanton and a Russo layup brought the Jays back within two of Scranton. In the final eight minutes of the half it was all Elizabethtown as they went into halftime with a 35-26 lead.
Buckets from Gorham and Hudges brought the score to 40-32, three minutes into the second half. Layups from
Austin Finarelli, Branker, and
Reese Ziegler extended the Blue Jays lead by ten points. In the 11
th minute,
Zuri Harris sunk a three to extend Etown's lead even further to 58-45. After trading free throws for the next several minutes a Branker dunk with six minutes left kept Etown in the lead. Several points from Gorham closed out the game for the Jays as Etown won, 78-72.
Elizabethtown ends their season 10-15 overall while going 7-11 in the Landmark Conference.
