WILKES-BARRE, Pa. -- Sophomore Jake Woodworth tied the Elizabethtown College men's lacrosse single-game goal scoring record with nine goals in the Blue Jays' 25-3 win at Wilkes on Friday. Tristan Coleman's seven assists tied for the second-most in a game for Etown.

The Jays' first four goals came from four different players as Reese Levinson, Woodworth, Landon Scully, and Coleman all scored to make it 4-0 in the first three and a half minutes. Jay Rodriguez recorded his first career assist and goal for Etown in the opening quarter. Colin Johnson also scored for the Jays in their eight-goal opening to the season.

It was more of the same from the Blue & Grey in the second, racking up eight more goals. Finn Kristan had a second-quarter hat trick and Lucca Scomillio put home a pair as well for the Jays.

Logan Rolles netted his first career goal with five seconds to go in the third. Alex Ly had Etown's lone man-up goal of the game coming early in the fourth quarter. Ben Backenstose also scored the first of his career in the game.
