BETHLEHEM, Pa.— The Elizabethtown College field hockey team locks in the third seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament as the Blue Jays defeated Moravian, 6-2.
Etown earns their highest seed in the tournament since 2019 when they were seeded fourth. This is also the Blue Jays' fifth game of the season scoring five goals or more against an opponent.
Freshman,
Sara Watson led the team with her first career hat-trick.
Mia Fino and
Drew Bridges each added two assists while Bridges scored her 20
th goal of the season.
Hailey Meyer recorded two goals which is her first career multi-goal game.
Midway through the first quarter, Bridges shot was saved by the Greyhounds goalie before Watson flicked in the ball in the right side. Over a minute later, Fino found Watson for her second goal of the game. Through the first five minutes of the second quarter, Etown held possession. At the 20 minute mark, Fino added another assist on her day as she found Bridges for a back handed shot.
At the half Etown led 3-0 as they outshot Moravian, 17-6.
Watson completed her hat-trick in the third quarter as Bridges recorded the assist. With three minutes left in the quarter, Moravian found the back of the net for their first goal of the game. The Greyhounds gained momentum going into the fourth quarter firing off back to back shots but both were saved

th minute, Bridges found Long for Etown's fifth goal of the game. Just a minute later, the Greyhounds responded with their second goal. To end the game
Hailey Meyer scored Etown's sixth and final goal after a rebounded shot from Sophie Meyers.
Etown will host Lycoming this Saturday at 6 pm for the first round of the Landmark Conference Tournament.
