Hannah Long has been named Landmark Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Long helped the team go 2-0 on the week with conference wins over Catholic and Lycoming. The Blue Jays defeated Catholic, 5-1 for the first time since 2016 before defeating Lycoming, 3-1 in overtime.
Against Catholic, Long made two defensive saves in the first quarter which were the only two shots the Cardinals made in the first. Against Lycoming, Long also made a defensive save in the first quarter.
Long is tied for first in the Landmark with a total of seven saves on the season.
The Blue Jays return home Wednesday, Oct. 22 vs. Drew.
