SCRANTON, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College men's soccer team suffered its first Landmark defeat on Saturday at nationally-ranked No. 15 Scranton. The Royals took down the Blue Jays, 5-0.
After three straight draws, Scranton made life difficult in the first half, scoring three times to take a commanding 3-0 lead into halftime.
The Royals were stout defensively, only allowing the Jays one shot in the game, which came in the second half off the foot of
Aidan Valentine.
Pedro Miranda made three saves in the game for Elizabethtown.
Mateo Saavedra Rodo played the final 19 minutes and made one save in his Etown debut.
The Blue Jays are on the road at Catholic on Tuesday, October 14, at 7 p.m.
