SCRANTON, Pa. -- A second-half goal was the difference in Saturday's Landmark Conference opener between the Elizabethtown College men's soccer team and host Scranton. The Royals scored the lone goal of the game coming out of halftime to beat the Blue Jays, 1-0.

Elizabethtown doubled up the Royals in the first half in shots, 6-3, but neither side was able to put one in the back of the net as they went into the break scoreless.

Preston Rushmore scored for Scranton in the 55th minute to give the Royals the 1-0 lead.

Scranton held Etown to just two shots over the final 45 minutes.

The Jays will host Drew next Saturday, October 5, at 3:30 p.m.
