OWINGS MILLS, MD. -- The Elizabethtown College men's soccer team put forth a big second half as three different goal scorers helped the Blue Jays power past Stevenson, 3-0. Andrew Merchant, Hayden Oldham, and Sean Rieber each scored their first goals of the season in the win.

Both teams registered four shots during the first half, though neither side produced a goal through those 45 minutes as they went into the break scoreless.

Pedro Guizardi set up Merchant's goal in the 49th minute as the Jays grabbed an early second half lead.

Hudson Peck assisted Oldham's tally in the 67th minute as his goal put Elizabethtown up by two with a little over 20 minutes to play. Etown outshot Stevenson 9-4 in the second half.

Rieber put the game on ice in the 80th minute with the Jays' third goal of the contest.

Pedro Miranda only needed two saves to earn the clean sheet for EC.

Elizabethtown will host Messiah on Wednesday, September 18, at 7 p.m.
