MADISON, N.J. -- The Elizabethtown College men's lacrosse got off to a fast start and never looked backed on Saturday at Drew as the Blue Jays dominated the Rangers to stay unbeaten in Landmark play at 3-0.
Riley Langen had a team-high five goals for Etown in the win while
Brayden Franey made 17 saves.
The Blue Jays shot out to a 6-1 lead after the first quarter. There were four different goal scorers in the first four minutes of the game as Elizabethtown jumped ahead 4-0 thanks to
Gavin Gismondi,
Reese Levinson,
Colin Kondracki and Langen. Langen finished the quarter off with two more goals to complete his hat trick in less than 15 minutes of game action.
Drew got within two after rallying with three unanswered to start the second quarter and make it 6-4, but Etown would reel off eight straight from 5:25 of the second to 8:55 of the third as they lead grew from two to 10, 14-4.
The Jays led 10-4 at the half after two goals in the final two minutes from
Tristan Coleman gave EC the seven-goal lead at the break.
Etown cruised through the final half and
Colin Johnson netted a pair of late goals to see the Jays out with their 20-6 win.
Levinson ended up with a hatty while Coleman, Kondracki and Johnson each had multi-goal games.
Alex Kilgour and
Connor Stewart each had multi-point efforts for the Blue Jays in the win.
Kyle Miller finished out the game in goal for Etown.
Elizabethtown will host Moravian on Wednesday, April 10, at 4 p.m.
