Seniors set tone for big-time win over Wilkes on Senior Day

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- For only the second time in program history, the Elizabethtown College men's lacrosse team put up 30 goals in a game, this time coming on Senior Day in a 30-5 win over Wilkes. The Blue Jay seniors accounted for 22 points, led by eight points apiece from Colin Kondracki and Gavin Gismondi.

Elizabethtown did its damage over the final three quarters as Wilkes kept the game close through 15 minutes. Kondracki had a first-quarter hat trick for the Jays, but the Colonels hung in there with goals from Austin Sosnovik and Blake Billingsley and it was only a one-goal game going into the second.

Nolan Krasnick and Gismondi tallied early in the second just 29 seconds apart to expand the lead to three. Wilkes cut it to 5-3, but from there it was all Blue Jays. Etown posted 12 goals total in the second quarter to take a 15-3 lead into halftime. Gismondi, Riley Langen and Alex Scholl each scored in a 30-second span with under five minutes to go before the half. The Jays also scored three goals in the final 1:43 of the half with Gismondi finding Alex Kilgour 24 seconds before the halftime buzzer.

Elizabethtown continued to pepper the goal with eight more goals in the third and seven in the fourth.
