ASTON, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College softball team dipped out of conference play on Saturday at Neumann where the Knights beat the Blue Jays in both games. Neumann took game one 7-0 and game two 6-0.
Hannah Long had three hits for the Jays in game one.
Long went 3-for-3 for Elizabethtown in the first game. She laid down a bunt single in the first, singled to short in the third and reached safely again in the fifth on another bunt single.
The Blue Jays had opportunities to put runs on the board but left seven on in the game.
Neumann scored four in the first and two more in the second to take control of the game as they shutout the Jays.
Jenna Davis had a pair of hits for Etown.
The Blue Jays also struggled to produce a run in game two as the Knights shut them out for a second straight time.
Brooke Huczko and
Kassidy Kehoe each had two-hit games while
Olivia Prosser had EC's fifth hit.
Elizabethtown will host DeSales on Monday, April 15, at 3 and 5 p.m.
