ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown baseball team moved their win-streak to six, Tuesday after defeating Moravian, 7-2 in a low-hitting affair.
The game was slow to start as the first 2.5 innings were pretty quiet with only one hit between the two teams. Elizabethtown (13-6,6-2) got things going in the bottom of the third as they scored three runs.
Mason Woolwine reached first via a walk and then advanced to second on a wild pitch.
Quinten Perilli was hit by a pitch to load the bases. On a sacrifice fly to right field, Woolwine scored.
RJ Agriss ended the inning with a 2-RBI double to bring Etown's lead to 3-0. The Blue Jays added their fourth run in the fifth on a walk.
Elizabethtown extended their lead to 7-0 in the sixth as the tallied three more runs. The Blue Jays scored on two Greyhound errors before Perilli would score off a sacrifice fly to right field. Moravian recorded their first run in the seven as they were able to score on a ground out. Moravian scored their second and final run in the ninth off an RBI-single.
Logan Burns went the distance pitching seven innings and striking out five. Agriss went 1-3 with three RBIs and a double.
Elizabethtown returns home this Friday, March 29 as they begin the Landmark Conference series with Susquehanna at 3:30 pm.
