Gretz Named to College Sport Communicators 30 Under 30 Class of 2024

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.– On Tuesday afternoon, College Sports Communicators announced its 30 Under 30 Class of 2024, an honor that recognizes emerging athletics communications professionals at all levels of collegiate athletics in strategic, creative, and digital spaces. Among those named to this year's class was Elizabethtown College Director of Athletic Communications, Amanda Gretz.

"I am so honored to be named one of this year's CSC 30 Under 30 recipients. Even as a former collegiate athlete entering this field, I had no idea what this profession was about but have been able to grow into the professional I am today. I want to say thank you to all those mentors who have helped me get to this point in my career. Special shout out to Ben Grant and Scott McKenzie for believing I could! Finally, I feel so lucky to be surrounded by people who have appreciated my work and allow me to continue to promote our student-athletes."

Gretz has served as the director of athletic communications at Elizabethtown College since September 2022. Prior to Elizabethtown, Gretz was the assistant athletic communications director at Stevenson University from August 2021 – September 2022, and prior to that enjoyed a four-year stint as the assistant director of athletic communications at Juniata College (2017-21).

At Elizabethtown, Gretz is the primary contact for field hockey, men's and women's volleyball, men's basketball, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's tennis, baseball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis, and women's lacrosse. Responsible for social media content, Gretz also oversees website management, record books and is responsible for overseeing student workers.

No stranger to CSC recognition, Gretz previously earned plaudits in the Creative Media & Design Contest for "Best of Division III" in the "Non-Gameday Graphic" category.

On a national scale, Gretz has served as the social media coordinator for numerous NCAA championships, including the 2023 Division III Men's Volleyball National Championship and 2022 Division III Football National Championship. Gretz has also aided in hosting the 2018 NCAA Women's Volleyball Huntingdon, Pennsylvania Regionals, in addition to numerous Landmark Conference championships in cross country, men's golf and swimming and diving.

Gretz played an operational role in hosting the USA Men's Volleyball Collegiate Beach Challenge while at Stevenson.

A four-year member of the swim team at Saint Vincent College, Gretz graduated in 2017 with a bachelor of arts degree in communication with a marketing minor and went on to earn a master of organizational leadership degree from Juniata College in 2022. Gretz was also honored as the AVCA East Region Division III Sports Information Award recipient in 2018-19.
