Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Blue Jays, Greyhounds end in scoreless draw

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College women's soccer team stayed unbeaten at home after finishing Wednesday night's conference contest with visiting Moravian in a scoreless draw. It is the sixth consecutive game at Ira R. Herr Field this season that the Blue Jays have not conceded a goal.

Elizabethtown had the better of the play for the majority of the game and outshot Moravian 12-5.

Riley Spingler made a few saves in the first half, but none that really bothered the graduate student in goal. The Blue Jays did not allow a shot until the 9:10 mark of the first half. Adrienne McGallicher made one first-half save, which came in the final five minutes.

Kayla Myer got free into the box in the 60th minute, but from a tight angle, wasn't able to get the ball past Spingler at the left post.

The Greyhounds' best chance came in the 81st minute when Taylor Yoder's attempted cross went in on goal and hit off the crossbar and back into play. No damage done as the Jays cleared their lines and continued on.

Etown pressed for a goal in the final stages, but Spingler made another couple saves to keep it a scoreless draw.

The Blue Jays will host Goucher on Saturday, October 26, at 1 p.m. for their final regular season home game.
