ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College women's soccer team remained unbeaten at home as they finished Wednesday night's Landmark Conference matchup with Catholic in a scoreless draw.
Both sides battled for the majority of the 90 minutes in between the boxes. The Cardinals did manage to outshoot the Blue Jays by an 11-to-5 margin, but only three of Catholic's 11 shots were on goal and
Adrienne McGallicher was there for simple saves.
Etown's defense was able to hold Catholic and force shots from outside the 18. One of the Cardinals' chances came in close, but McGallicher was in the right spot to pounce on a deflected ball off a corner.
While EC limited Catholic, they did the same to the Jays. Both targets on frame from Elizabethtown were stopped by Ava Rieger.
Olivia Herbert and
Jenna Hoffmann each put an attempt on goal, but were stopped by the junior.
The Blue Jays will play at Wilkes on Saturday, October 19, at 1 p.m.
