ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College wrestling team earned bonus points in five of the eight weight class victories Wednesday night at the Bowers Center as they handily beat McDaniel, 37-11.

Ethan Liptzin, Braden Schuyler and Scotty Reagan combined to provide 13 team points for the Blue Jays at 125, 133 and 141. Liptzin and Schuyler each recorded tech falls and Reagan had a close 10-9 decision as the Jays established a 13-point cushion.

McDaniel ate into that with a tech fall and pin at 149 and 157, but the rest of the lineup was able to get those points right back and then some for Elizabethtown.

Brian Schneider won via tech fall, 16-0 in 2:08, at 165. Ganon Smith had a 5-1 decision and Will Davis also put up a tech fall victory for the Blue Jays at 184. It was 26-11 at that point.

Trai Roland got the forfeit win at 197 and Dylan Waller put another tech fall on his record, his team-leading 10th of the year.

Caden Droege (174) and Kurt Driscoll (285) were each winners for EC in exhibition action. Droege won via pinfall and Driscoll earned a 7-3 decision.

The wrestling team will host the Ken Ober Memorial Tournament at the Bowers Center on Saturday, January 27, at 9:30 a.m.
