LANCASTER, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College women's soccer team dropped their match at Franklin & Marshall Tuesday evening at Tylus Field by a 3-0 final.
Elizabethtown (0-2-0) was able to hold the Diplomats off the scoreboard for much of the first half, though Franklin & Marshall (3-0-0) broke through in the 39th minute to take a 1-0 lead into the half.
F&M outshot Etown in the opening half, 8-2.
FMC doubled its lead to 2-0 in the 56th minute and added a third later in the game as Elizabeth Jones upped the advantage to 3-0 in the 74th minute.
Maddie McWhinney had a team-high two shots for the Jays in the game.
Etown will host senior day at Ira R. Herr Field on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 3 p.m. against Lebanon Valley.
