BETHLEHEM, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown baseball team moved to 15-5 overall and 6-0 in the Landmark Conference, Sunday as the Blue Jays completed another conference sweep after defeating Moravian, 16-5.
Kyle Mulville picked up his fourth win of the season on the mound dishing out five strikeouts.
Elizabethtown was quick to score as they put up two runs in the top of the first.
Robbie Bertucio singled to left field to bring home
Ben Watson and on a sacrifice fly,
David Woolley scored. Moravian then took the lead in the bottom of the first as they scored four runs. In the second, Etown came within one of the Greyhounds, 3-4. The Blue Jays regained the lead in the third after Bertucio's two-run homer.
Etown extended their lead in the fourth scoring two more runs.
Justin Wetzel doubled to right center and advanced on Garrett Schwartbeck's single. Watson then tripled to left field to bring Wetzel home. Woolley singled to second to score Watson. After four, Etown led, 7-4. The Blue Jays really gained momentum in the fifth as they scored five runs on three hits. Wetzel, Watson,Woolley, and Bertucio recorded RBIs in the inning.
After Schwartzbeck was walked to start the seventh, Watson knocked a two-run homer extending Etown's lead to 14-4. The Greyhounds score their fifth run in the bottom of the seventh off a single to center field. Elizabethtown wasn't done yet as they tacked on two more runs in the ninth to win, 16-5.
Eamon McCoubrey reached base on a walk while Bertucio reached base after being hit by a pitch.
Tyler Bohn singled through the left side to bring home McCoubrey and Berturcio.
Watson went 3-4 with four runs, four RBIs, a triple and a homerun. Bertucio went 2-4 with two runs, four RBIs, and a homerun.
Elizabethtown travels to Shenandoah on Tuesday for a single game at 4PM.
