MADISON, N.J.-- The Elizabethtown tennis team wrapped up their Landmark Conference schedule at Drew, Saturday. The Blue Jays fell, 8-1 with
Adriana Burmeister picking up the lone win at no. 6 singles.
At no. 1 doubles,
Gabriella Palladini and
Olivia Richards fell, 8-1, at no. 2 doubles,
Morgan Bleicher and
Kaylee Mustard fell, 8-0, and Burmeister and
Megan Hawkins fell, 8-3 at no. 3 doubles.
At no. 1 singles, Richards fell, 6-2, 6-0, Palladini was defeated, 6-0, 6-2 at no. 2 singles, and Mustard fell in a close match at no. 3 singles, 6-4, 6-1. Bleicher fell at no. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-1 and Hawkins fell, 6-0, 6-4. Burmeister forced a third set in a competitive match at no. 6 singles. Burmeister ultimately won, 6-7(2-7), 6-4, 10-8.
The Blue Jays are back in action tomorrow against King's (Pa.) and Rutgers-Camden.
