BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Elizabethtown College women's tennis team fell to Moravian, 6-3, in Landmark Conference action Wednesday afternoon.
With the loss, the Blue Jays fall to 3-4 on the season and 1-4 in league play, while the Greyhounds improve to 9-3 overall and 2-2 in the Landmark.
In doubles, the duo of seniors
Kailey Caroland and
Maddy Binder scored a win at #1, topping Julianne Cassady and Morgan Colver 8-6.
Moving onto singles, Etown was able to score victories at #1 and #2. Caroland tallied the first victory, taking down Cassady 7-5, 6-0. Freshman
Gabriella Palladini finished off the match with a win at #2, scoring the 0-6, 6-2, (10-8) victory over Colver. Moravian however would build on its 2-1 lead from doubles to take the match 6-3.Â
Elizabethtown is back in action on Wednesday, April 20 at Lancaster Bible. Opening serve is set for 5 p.m.
