GERMANTOWN, Md. - Sophomore
Sarah Marston netted another school record, as the Elizabethtown College women's swimming team wrapped up the weekend at the Landmark Conference Championship.
The Blue Jays finished in fifth place with 267.5 points. The top-five showing is the best finish for the program at a Landmark Conference Championship and the team's best finish since they finished in fifth place with 237 points at 2010 Middle Atlantic Conference Championship. Drew won the team title with 755.5 points.
Marston capped off her first conference championship meet with her second silver medal of the weekend and her third school record, touching the wall in 53.14 in the 100 free. The sophomore finished the weekend with a gold and two silver medals and program best marks in the 100 free, 200 free (1:54.28), and the 200 IM (2:07.32).Â
Classmate
Maddey Brelsford also capped off her first Landmark Championship with a fourth place finish in the 200 back, finishing in 2:11.50. The Muncy, Pa. native completed the weekend with two school records of her own, securing the team's top spot in the 100 back (1:00.99) and 100 fly (1:00.55).Â
Senior
Marin Adams completed her Elizabethtown swimming career in the final individual event of the night, taking sixth place in the 200 fly in 2:21.29.
Finishing off the night and the meet for the Blue Jays was the quartet of Brelsford, freshman
Gracie Harding, junior
Brooke Langowski, and Marston, touching the wall in fourth place in the 400 free relay (3:44.91).
The women saw five school records fall this weekend, and between the men's and women's teams, seven overall. Thank you Adams,
