In the first match of the day against McDaniel, Elizabethtown won, 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-17). Misericordia tallied the first two points in set one before Elizabethtown rattled off the next seven taking a 7-2 lead. The teams traded points until the Blue Jays went on another run tallying the next seven points with kills from
Courtney Westman and
Katie Scaggs along with three service aces from
Bryanna Miller. The Cougars trailed within ten points of Etown after
Gracie Britten smacked down a kill at, 22-11. Misericordia recorded five points in a row but it wasn't enough as Etown won set one, 25-17. Set two saw the Cougars start off with a 10-4 lead after five consecutive points. A kill by
Gianna Krinock and an ace from
Emma Bitner brought the Blue Jays within one. The teams went back-n-forth until Etown closed out the set with the final eight points to win, 25-19. Elizabethtown carried their momentum into set three as they went on a 8-1 to start. The Cougars cut the lead, 8-5 before a kill from
Georgianna Kahley and three Cougar attack errors extended the Blue Jays lead, 12-5. A kill from Krinock and an ace from Hepler kept the Blue Jays out in front at 18-9. Both teams traded points to the end of the set but kills from Scaggs, Miller, and Hepler sealed the, 25-17 win.
Elizabethtown recorded 12 service aces to Misericordia's seven. Miller, Kahley, and Scaggs totaled eight kills a piece. Krinock and Helpler each totaled 17 digs.
Jena Minnick recorded a double-double as she totaled 12 assists and 11 digs.
In the second match against McDaniel, Elizabethtown won, 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-17). Two McDaniel attack errors and kills from Kahley and Krinock started off the BLue Jays with a 4-0 lead. The teams traded points before the Green Terror recorded three points in a row to tie the set at nine. After multiple lead changes, Etown led, 20-18 after a kill from Miller. McDaniel added two more points before Elizabethtown ended the set on a 5-1 run to win, 25-21. Set two started off close with ties and lead changes. McDaniel led, 12-8 after two kills before kills from Miller and Bitner brought the Jays within one. Etown then rattled off nine points in a row to bridge the gap and take a 22-16 lead. McDaniel snuck in one final kill before two attack errors and a kill from Hepler led the Jays to a 25-17 win. Elizabethtown dominated the start of the third set taking a 10-1 lead. McDaniel threw in some more points but Etown led, 15-6 after a kill from Scaggs and an ace from Miller. The Blue Jays tallied five points in a row to come within five of ending the set. Ending the set, McDaniel wouldn't go down without a fight as the teams traded points. One final kill from
Tristen Williams gave the Blue Jays the, 25-17 win.
Kara Davies and Miller led the team with six kills each. Hepler totaled 16 digs on her way to recording her 1,000th career dig. Bitner and Minnick each recorded ten assists.
The Blue Jays finish up the regular season in conference play as they travel to Catholic on October 26th at 7 PM before playing Drew and Susquehanna on Saturday.
