WESTMINSTER, Md. -- The Elizabethtown College women's soccer team played their final non-conference game of the season on Tuesday at McDaniel. The Green Terror scored once in each half as they clipped the Blue Jays 2-0. Trinity Soto made five saves for Etown.

McDaniel (7-4-4) scored in the 13th minute off a corner kick as they ball played into the box was headed up and came straight down to the foot of Taylor Clawson, who volleyed it home to make it 1-0.

Elizabethtown (5-8-1) hung tough and nearly tied the game as Cassidy Pawlicki's effort needed a save from Katherin Carstensen just 30 seconds after the Green Terror's opening goal.

Still down 1-0, Ava Whisten had a chance buzz by the right post in the 58th minute that would have tied the game. The Blue Jays recorded four shots in each half.

McDaniel doubled its lead in the 63rd minute and Carstensen had to make a save on Maddie McWhinney in the 65th to keep it 2-0.

The Green Terror didn't allow another shot on goal the remaining 25 minutes as they closed out the game for the two-goal victory.

Elizabethtown will host Goucher in the home regular season finale at Ira R. Herr Field at 4 p.m.
