ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- While the statistics show an even game, Drew proved mightier on Saturday against the Elizabethtown College women's soccer where it mattered most; the scoreboard. The Rangers put up two goals in each half to beat the Blue Jays on Homecoming, 4-1.
Skylar Mumford scored her fourth goal of the season for Etown in the game.
Drew (8-4-2, 3-1-1 Landmark) got on the board in the 14th minute on Alexa Krause's first of two goals in the game. She later scored in the 37th minute that gave the Rangers a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.
Rebecca Racine netted her first of two goals in the second half early on to give Drew a 3-0 lead.
Mumford answered moments later with her fourth of the season, getting into the box and lashing a shot into the right-side netting.
Nearly ten minutes after, Racine put the Rangers up 4-1 with her second of the day.
The Blue Jays worked to get back into the game, but second-half goalie sub Amina Cirkiel made three saves so that didn't happen.
Both teams finished with 16 shots and 2 corner kicks each.
Trinity Soto made six saves in goal for the Blue Jays.
Elizabethtown will play at McDaniel on Tuesday, October 18, at 3:30 p.m.
