ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Ryan Hepler and Jake Groh scored goals in each half to help the Elizabethtown College men's soccer team extend its win streak to six games with a 2-0 blanking of Drew on Saturday at Homecoming.

Drew (10-2-3, 0-2-2 Landmark) outshot the Blue Jays in the first half 5-2, but one of the two shots for Elizabethtown (8-4-2, 3-0-1 Landmark) ended up in the back of the net. Hepler latched on to a miscue at the back and drove in on goal, cut back to his left foot, and put home his fourth of the season to make it 1-0 in the 41st minute.

The Blue Jays led 1-0 at the half.

Just 1:22 into the second half, Hayden Oldham slid a ball to Groh in the box near goal and the junior beat the goalie far post for his team-leading fifth of the season to double the lead to 2-0 in the 47th minute.

As has been the case for the Jays, the defense held as goalie Kelvin Del Cid only needed to make one save in the second half and wasn't troubled much at all. The senior made some key plays on several corners for the Rangers, coming out to punch the ball out of the box.

The men's soccer team plays at Moravian on Wednesday, October 19, at 7 p.m.
