TOWSON, Md. – Four members of the Elizabethtown College baseball team earned All-Landmark honors, announced by the organization Monday morning.
Seniors Kelly Holdren (RP) and Andrew Fisher (OF) both earned first team accolades while classmates JT Thompson (C) and Tyler Dunbar (SP) were both named to the second team. This is the most All-Landmark selections for the program since they had five players selected to the team in 2018.
Holdren, earning all-conference honors for the first time in his career, has been one of the top relief pitchers in the country this past season, allowing a single earned run in 11 appearances. The Millville, Pennsylvania native is ninth in Division III with a 0.28 ERA over 32 1/3 innings and is 21st with a 13.36 K/9. Holdren's 48 strikeouts lead the Landmark Conference and his six wins on the season are tied for the top spot in the league. He became the first player in program history named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week and was a Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week selection this season.
Fisher earns All-Landmark honors for the first time in his career. Fisher has been one of the top outfielders this season in the Mid-Atlantic region. The Pottstown, Pennsylvania native leads the Landmark Conference with 20 stolen bases, is tied for the top spot with a .406 batting average, third with 26 runs scored, and is fifth with a .474 on-base percentage. His .71 steals per game is 28th in Division III.
Thompson collects his first career All-Landmark accolades after backstopping the Elizabethtown pitching staff to a 4.27 ERA, third-best in the conference. The West Chester, Pennsylvania native finished his senior season batting .313 with 24 RBI and 25 runs scored. He is tied for fifth in the conference in runs scored, tied for third in the conference in home runs (3) and RBI, and tied for eighth in doubles (7). While catching, the Blue Jays have compiled an 8.89 strikeouts per nine innings average with 210 strikeouts and have allowed the second-fewest hits this season in the Landmark (196).
Dunbar has heated up with the weather to end the season, earning the first All-Landmark honors of his career. The Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania native has tallied a 3.40 ERA with 41 strikeouts and four wins. He is third in the Landmark in strikeouts, fourth in ERA, and tied for fifth in wins. Dunbar has a run of 19 consecutive innings of not allowing an earned run, stretching over four games to end the season. He added to his collegiate firsts, collecting Landmark Conference Pitcher of the Week honors after throwing his first complete game in a 3-2 win against Moravian.
