"I am beyond proud and excited for Derek," added head baseball coach
Adam Sheibley. "This is an amazing accomplishment and directly related to his unmatched work ethic on and off the field. The self-discipline Derek possesses is something that I deeply admire about him and strive to be more like myself. Derek already has a long list of accomplishment within our program and this award further solidifies him as one of the best players to ever put on a Blue Jay uniform."
An offensive juggernaut, Manning finishes his run with the Blue Jays with a .430 batting average and 169 hits. He also tallied 99 RBI and runs scored, 54 doubles and 13 home runs.
