GREENWOOD, Ind. – For the third time in his career, senior
Derek Manning was named to the 2020 First Team CoSIDA Academic All-District® Baseball Team, announced by the organization on Thursday.

Honorees selected first-team Academic All-District® will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All-America® honorees will be announced from June 8-11.
An East Petersburg, Pa. native, Manning has earned first-team Academic All-District honors each year he has been eligible at Elizabethtown. He is the school's only two-time CoSIDA First Team Academic All-American.
Manning completes an outstanding career at Elizabethtown, collecting ABCA Third Team All-America honors in 2018 while being named Landmark Conference Player of the Year in the same season. He is a two-time First Team All-Landmark selection while also earning Landmark Conference All-Academic Team honors three times.
An offensive juggernaut during his career, Manning finishes his run with the Blue Jays with a .430 batting average and 169 hits. He also tallied 99 RBI and runs scored, 54 doubles and 13 home runs.
Manning will graduate this spring with a degree in Computer Science and has accepted a full-scholarship into the University of Wisconsin Computer Science PHD program.
