Mahoney, Scrafano, Leslie Earn All-America Honors

BALTIMORE, Md. – A program record three players earned All-America honors for the Elizabethtown men's lacrosse team, announced by Inside Lacrosse Friday morning.

Seniors Tom Mahoney and Mike Scrafano and junior Alec Leslie each earned Honorable Mention accolades. It is the first time Scrafano and Leslie have earned All-America status, while Mahoney takes home the award for the second straight year.

The Hillsborough, N.J. native, Mahoney leaves Elizabethtown as one of the best goalies in program history. He set the team's record for saves (552), and is second all-time in wins (30), fourth in goals against average (8.97) and fifth in save percentage (.554). Mahoney made 10 or more saves in four of his six starts this season and led the Blue Jays to wins over No. 15 Dickinson, Coast Guard and Messiah.

Scrafano was a potent facilitator for Elizabethtown on the offensive end of the field, ending the year second on the team in assists (7), tied for third in points (16) and fourth in goals (9). The Easton, Pa. native finishes his career tied for eighth in points (118) and assists (35) and ninth in goals (83).

Leslie's aggressive defensive play this season led the Blue Jays, holding teams to an average of eight goals in three wins this season. The Easton, Pa. native tallied 60 ground balls and 30 caused turnovers for his career.

Elizabethtown finished the shortened 2020 season 3-3 with victories over No. 15 Dickinson, Coast Guard and Messiah. The Blue Jays remain the three-time defending Landmark Conference Champions and will defend their crown in 2021.
