TOWSON, Md. – Senior
Mike Christy was named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week announced by the organization Monday afternoon.
With the unprecedented cancellation of spring sports due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Landmark Conference will be recognizing an athlete from each member institution in each conference-sponsored spring sport for the remainder of the academic year.
The Harleysville, Pa. native began his senior year prepared to assault the Elizabethtown baseball record book. He reached both 100 career RBI and runs scored in Florida and was on pace to end his career in the program's top-five in hits. Christy was projected to finish his career first in RBI (128), second in at-bats (577), third in hits (193) and triples (13), sixth in games played (153), seventh in home runs (13) 10th in runs (120) and 13th in doubles (33) in program history. The Blue Jays finish the 2020 season 8-3.
Honorees were nominated for recognition by their respective institution based on achievements from the shortened season and career accolades.
