2019-20 D3hoops.com All-Mid-Atlantic Region Team

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Already a two-time All-Landmark Conference selection, Veronica Christ added her first all-region honor on Tuesday after being named to the D3hoops.com All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team.

Christ, who started every game for Elizabethtown for the second straight year, enjoyed a career season as a junior for the Blue Jays. Christ posted 17.0 points per game, a new single-season career high, which was the second-highest average in the Landmark.

A dynamic option for E-town who could stretch the floor or use her athleticism to get to the basket, Christ was in double digits in 22 of the team's 25 games and twice scored a career-high 28 points during the season. She shot 11-for-17 in both of those games, each against conference opponents, which were also career bests for field goals made in a game. Her six threes at No. 5 Scranton on Jan. 11 set a new career high.

On Feb. 19 at Juniata, she became the 28th player in program history to record 1,000 career points (74 games).

Christ was selected as the league's Athlete of the Week three different times during the season and was selected as a First Team guard for the second consecutive season. The regional honor marks the second consecutive time a player from Elizabethtown has been named to an all-region team and is the fourth different player for the program since 2012-13.
