GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Elizabethtown College won eight different weight classes on its way to the 33-9 victory over Gettysburg Saturday night.

With the win, the Blue Jays improve to 2-2 on the season, while the Bullets fall to 8-14.

Sophomore Austin Jones set the tone immediately at 125 pounds, earning a tech. fall against Ethan Greenberg, 19-4.

Junior Josh McLaughlin pushed Elizabethtown's lead to 8-0, pulling out a tight 11-8 decision against Jake Stein at 133 pounds.

After Gettysburg closed the deficit to two (8-6) with a win at 141 pounds, the Blue Jays responded with senior Josh Paisley registering an 8-6 decision over Eric Mougalian at 149 pounds, followed by freshman Brian Schneider pushing Elizabethtown's lead to 15-6 with a major decision over Ray Martin (13-4).

Junior Kyle Bythell (165) and sophomore Hunter Beaudet (174) pushed the Blue Jays' run to four straight wins, grabbing decisions over Phil Angelo (8-3) and Mason Canonico (9-5).

The Bullets managed a win at 184 pounds, but Elizabethtown finished the night off with a bang thanks to freshmen Tyler Phenegar (197) and Keegan McCord (285) securing pins in their respective weight classes, giving the Blue Jays the 33-9 victory.

Elizabethtown returns home for its final match of the season in Thompson Gymnasium tomorrow afternoon, Feb. 9 against King's. The Blue Jays will celebrate its four seniors starting at 1 p.m.
