Robinson Nets Career-High in Loss to River Hawks

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Elizabethtown College men's basketball team fell to Susquehanna, 92-67, in Landmark Conference action Saturday afternoon.

With the loss, the Blue Jays fall to 11-9 overall and 4-6 in league play. The River Hawks improve to 14-7 on the season and 7-3 in the Landmark.

Sophomore Jalin Robinson scored a career-high 13 points to lead Elizabethtown. Classmate Wyatt Hockenberry (12) and senior Bryce Greene (11) joined Robinson in double figures.

Susquehanna was paced by Danny Frauenheim who just missed out on a double-double with nine points and nine assists.

The scored remained close in the first five minutes of the game as Hockenberry knocked down two from the line to move the Blue Jays back within one (17-16).

Later on in the opening period, Robinson drilled a three pointer to tie the game at 23 with 8:52 remaining in the half.

The River Hawks snatched up the momentum, going on a 21-7 run to end the half to take a 44-30 lead into intermission.

Susquehanna continued to add to its advantage in the second half, pushing its lead to as many as 29 and wrapping up its seventh conference win of the season, 92-67.

The Blue Jays were 25-50 (50%) from the floor and 7-23 (30.4%) from three. The River Hawks shot 50% (36-72) overall and 31% (9-29) from beyond the arc. Susquehanna found its advantage this afternoon in the paint (50-34) and in bench points (43-27).

Elizabethtown is back in action this Wednesday, Feb. 12, at home against Goucher. Opening tip is set for 7 p.m.
