Robinson Drops Career-High 30 Points in Season Finale

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Elizabethtown College men's basketball season came to a close Saturday afternoon, as the Blue Jays fell to Moravian, 81-85.

With the loss, the Blue Jays finish the season 12-12 overall and 5-9 in conference play, with the Greyhounds close out the regular season 14-11 on the year and 9-5 in the Landmark. The 12 wins are the most for Elizabethtown since the 2010-11 squad won 16 games.

Sophomore Jalin Robinson scored a career-high 30 points, including 25 points in the second half, shooting 8-9 from the field and 5-6 from three, to lead all scorers. Robinson is the second player from the Blue Jays to drop 30 or more points on Moravian this season, as senior Connor Moffatt scored 31 points in two team's first meeting this year.

Freshman Wyatt Hockenberry finished with 14 points, while seniors Bryce Greene and Ethan DuBois each finished with 11. Moffatt grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds.

The Greyhounds had five different players in double figures, led by 22 points off the bench from freshman Greg Eck.

The Blue Jays battled back from an early seven point deficit, tying the game at 13 after a layup from Hockenbery with 13:37 on the clock.

Moravian pushed its advantage back to seven (25-18) with 10:16 left in the first half when junior Deandre Tillett went right back up with his offensive board for two points.

Elizabethtown continued to claw its way back into the game, once again tying the score at 36 after basket by Robinson knotted the score with under a minute. After a three by the home team, Robinson found junior Tyler Rinehimer for the layup, making the halftime score 39-38 in favor of the Greyhounds.

The Blue Jays took a quick three point lead at the start of the second (42-39), but then quickly fell into a hole due to a 15-2 run by Moravian, putting Elizabethtown down, 54-44.

After Moravian increased its advantage to as many as 12, the Blue Jays made it a one possession game with just over two minutes on the clock, as Robinson took a pass from DuBois and banged a three to make the score 81-78.

Elizabethtown continued to keep it a one possession game down the stretch, but after an offensive board by Moffatt with five seconds left, the Blue Jays could not get a final shot off and fell to the Greyhounds, 85-81.

Elizabethtown shot 41.8% (28-67) from the floor and 47.8% (11-23) from three. Moravian made 30-73 (41.1%) overall and 15-41 (36.6%) from beyond the arc.
