2019-20 CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team
AUSTIN, Texas -- Lydia Lawson was named the CoSIDA Academic All-District 4 First Team on Thursday in an announcement made by the organization. She is the first player for the Elizabethtown College women's basketball team to earn a CoSIDA academic award since 1986.
Lawson, an occupational therapy major at the College, was also an All-District 4 First Team and All-America selection for the Elizabethtown College women's soccer team.
She is one of three players from the Landmark Conference to earn a spot on the eight-member First Team. Moravian's Maddie Capuano and Scranton's Makenzie Mason were the other league honorees.
As a First Team selection, Lawson will automatically advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. Those honorees will be announced in mid-March.
The 2019 Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
