TOWSON, Md. – After a breakout game for the second year midfielder on Saturday against Coast Guard, sophomore Micah Ballew was named Landmark Conference Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon.

Ballew paced the Elizabethtown offense, registering a team-high six points on five goals and one assist and led the Blue Jays to a 13-8 victory over Coast Guard to open the season. Ballew scored the first three goals of the game to give Elizabethtown and early 3-2 advantage after one quarter.

The Easton, Pa. native only appeared in six games as a freshman and tallied career-highs in goals and points on Saturday.

The Blue Jays are back in action this Saturday, Feb. 22, at home against St. Mary's (Md.). Opening face-off is set for 2 p.m.
