TOWSON, Md. – For the second time this season, senior
Connor Moffatt was named Landmark Conference Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week after leading the Blue Jays to a 3-0 week, including a 14-point comeback in the championship game of the Spooky Nook Tournament.
The Mountville, Pa. native finished the week averaging 21.3 points and 13 rebounds per game helping the Blue Jays to victories over John Jay (82-76), Penn State Harrisburg (80-71) and St. Mary's (74-71).
In Elizabethtown's 14-point comeback against the Seahawks, Moffatt scored 18 points, grabbed eight rebounds and registered a season-high four steals. The senior's effort earned him a spot on the All-Tournament team.
Moffatt leads the Landmark in field goal percentage (60.5%) and is second in scoring (19.1) and rebounding (10.6). He sits at 929 points for his career.
Blue Jays are back in action tomorrow night (Jan. 7) at home against Lancaster Bible. Opening tip is set for 5 p.m.
