DALLAS, Pa. – Elizabethtown women's volleyball split on the final day of the Misericordia Tournament, topping Valley Forge before falling to Cortland Saturday afternoon.
With the split, the Blue Jays move to 15-2 on the season and snap a 14-match winning streak for the team's first loss in the month of September.

Aiyana Tietze-Di Toro were each named to the All-Tournament Team. Elizabethtown had the most players earn All-Tournament honors, with no other team having more than one player on the team.
ELIZABETHTOWN 3, VALLEY FORGE 0 (25-9, 25-10, 25-17)
- SET ONE: The Blue Jays took hold of the opening match right away, running out to a 14-4 lead. The Patriots would never threaten in the first, as Elizabethtown hit .333 for the 25-9 win.
- SET TWO: Only holding a two point lead (7-5) early in the second set, the Blue Jays seized momentum, rattling off 11 straight points to move ahead 18-5. Elizabethtown would only allow Valley Forge to score five more point, taking the second set 25-10
- SET THREE: After racing out to a five point advantage (8-3), the Patriots responded, scoring four unanswered points to move within one (8-7). The Blue Jays found an answer, matching Valley Forge's four point run with one of their own to go ahead by five (12-7). The Patriots would close within two twice more but would never be a true threat, as Elizabethtown hit .351 in the final set for the straight set victory, and the team's 14th in a row.
ELIZABETHTOWN 0 CORTLAND 3 (15-25, 15-25, 15-25)
- SET ONE: Down by two (9-7) early in the opening set, the Red Dragons went on a 7-1 run, taking a 14-10 lead. The Blue Jays managed to move back within three (14-11), but could not claim back the momentum, as Cortland wrapped up the first set with an 11-4 rally for the 25-15 win.
- SET TWO: Tied at eight, the Red Dragons took control once again with a large run, scoring seven consecutive points for the 15-8 lead. Elizabethtown cut the deficit to five (15-10), but would not be able to close the gap any further, falling 25-15.
- SET THREE: The Red Dragons closed out the second match of the day, jumping out to the 11-4 lead in the final set. The Blue Jays however did not quit, nearly cutting an 11-point deficit in half, making the score 20-14. Cortland however finished off the third with a 5-1 run for the 3-0 victory.
