ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- The luck just hasn't gone the way the Elizabethtown College field hockey has wanted it to through six games. In another close contest, Stockton left Saturday's non-conference matchup with the Blue Jays as the 2-0 victors.

Elizabethtown (1-5) pressed early and spent nearly a third of the opening quarter in the Ospreys' end. An early chance from
Madison Kubik was stopped by goalie Emily Gilligan, one of her game-high seven saves.
Chloe Smith let a shot loose at goal off a corner insert from
Grace Hussey, but again, Gilligan denied it with her pads.
Kubik had another chance late in the quarter, but was stopped by the Stockton (7-0) goalie as the first period ended 0-0.
The visitors got on the board with 2:25 left in the half, cashing in on a corner of their own. Issy Gilhooley wristed a ball toward the cage and it made its way through the bodies and sat just in front of the goal line. Casey Cordonna was at the right spot and was able to muscle the ball into the open goal to put the Ospreys ahead 1-0.
E-town had a few chances in the third, but Gilligan was there to parry away the shots coming in on goal.
Stockton tacked on to its lead early in the fourth quarter on Gianna Morganti's team-leading seventh of the season.
Madeline Kachel made a pair of saves minutes later to keep the Blue Jays in it.
The Jays had three penalty corners in the fourth and fed Smith the ball out top. The Ospreys' defense was up to the task as they did not allow a goal off the set plays and denied Elizabethtown a goal.
Stockton finished with a slight advantage in shots, 10 to 8, while each team put 7 shots on goal.
The field hockey team will be back at Wolf Field on September 25 when they host Eastern for a 4:30 p.m. non-conference contest.
