ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Derek Manning added another postseason award to his collection when D3baseball.com announced its 2019 All-Region Teams. For the second consecutive season, Manning was named All-Mid-Atlantic Region. The junior earned a spot on the Third Team Outfield to give the Elizabethtown College baseball team representation for the fifth consecutive season.
Manning garnered All-Landmark First Team honors for the second consecutive season after another year as one of the top players in the conference. He was among the league leaders in average, hits, doubles, and on base percentage while leading the Landmark in home runs and slugging percentage.
Manning tied for the team lead with 14 multi-hit games during the season, including five three-hit efforts and ended the season on a 16-game hit streak. He led E-town in multi-RBI games with eight, including a team-best four games of three runs batted in. Manning paced the Jays in batting average, slugging, runs, hits, doubles, homers, and total bases.
