Anthony Knight were named All-Landmark Conference players for the Elizabethtown College baseball for a second consecutive season while
Robbie Bertucio earned his first all-conference honor as the Blue Jays had three selections in 2019. Manning was named to the First Team Outfield while Bertucio was Second Team Third Baseman and Knight the Second Team Catcher.
Manning had 50+ hits and at least 30 RBIs for the second straight year for Elizabethtown. He led the Landmark with nine home runs, a career-high, and a career-best .722 slugging percentage. Manning also ranked top ten in the conference in average (4th), doubles (T4th), OBP (8th), and hits (9th).
The junior finished out the 2019 season on a 16-game hit streak, which included eight multi-hit efforts. Five of his nine home runs came in Landmark play, including a walkoff on April 13 against Juniata. Manning was second on the team with a .400 average with runners in scoring position and hit at a .395 clip when faced with two outs during an at-bat. He also led the Jays in two-out RBIs with 14. Manning earned a spot on the First Team Outfield for the second straight season.
Knight was one of three players for Elizabethtown to record at least 10 doubles during the season, which tied his single-season career high. The senior drove in a career-high 17 RBIs and led the team in stolen bases (9). Knight batted at least .300 for a second straight year and finished the year with 42 hits in 138 at-bats for a .304 average.
The signal caller behind the plate, Knight threw out 11 runners this season, tied for the third-most in the Landmark Conference and one of only four to nab at least 10 runners on steal attempts. He also had a career-high 172 putouts and 27 assists and finished all four years of his catching career with no lower than a .985 fielding percentage. Knight earned his second straight all-conference nod after being First Team in 2018.
Bertucio tied for the most games played on the team, appearing in 39 of Elizabethtown's 40 games. The first-year player out of West York acclimated himself well in 2019, finishing with the team's fifth-best average at .314. Bertucio was among the top five offensive players for the Blue Jays in runs scored, doubles, total bases, sac bunts, slugging percentage, hits, walks, sac flies, RBIs, home runs, and stolen bases.
He recorded his first career hit against Muskingum in Florida on March 3 as he went 2-for-4 in the same game with his first two college RBIs and a double. Bertucio had a season-long hit streak of nine games and registered 10 multi-hit games for the Jays, tied for the fifth-most on the team. His six multi-RBI games were the third-most for E-town. Bertucio concluded his first season with 38 hits, seven doubles, a triple, two homers, and 23 RBIs.
