LANCASTER, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College men's lacrosse team stayed within the boundaries of Lancaster County with a matchup at Franklin & Marshall Friday night. The Diplomats beat the Blue Jays, 14-8.
Scott Nizolak was one of seven goal scorers for E-town and had two in the game to lead the Jays.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Elizabethtown (5-6) led 1-0 after
Mike Scrafano set up
Griffin Liebsch less than two minutes into the game.
- Franklin & Marshall (8-3) tied it 57 seconds later, but the Blue Jays retook the lead on the first of Nizolak's two.
- The Diplomats retied it and then took the lead with four consecutive goals to finish out the first quarter.

Nick Cost found
Cody Richter early on in the second to bring E-town within two, 5-3.
- Three straight from FMC extended the lead to 8-3.

Alex Filbert and Nizolak each scored before the end of the first half and the Diplomats led 9-5 at halftime.
- Both teams recorded two goals in the third quarter as
Thomas Palen and
Benjamin O'Connor both scored for the Blue Jays.
- Richter took on a defender and passed out to
Andrew Watts in the fourth and the senior buried his shot into the upper right corner of the goal. It was the only goal of the fourth for Elizabethtown.

Tom Mahoney made 11 saves for E-town.

Elizabethtown will travel to Moravian on Wednesday, April 10, for a Landmark matchup with the Greyhounds at 7 p.m.
