Christy ties single-game career highs in Jays' thrashing of Albright

READING, Pa. -- Mike Christy's four hits and six RBIs each tied single-game career highs for the Elizabethtown College baseball team, who had season highs in runs and hits in a 20-2 win at Albright. E-town scored 20 runs for the first time since March 5, 2018 in Florida against Muskingum.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Elizabethtown (7-15) gave starter Justin Cherry a 4-0 lead to work with after one inning on RBIs from Christy (2) and James Kantner. Nick Bein scored on a error in the inning.
- Christy added to his RBI total with a three-run triple in the second inning.
- Arley Shepherd brought Christy home with a sac fly to make it 8-0.
- Albright (5-15) got on the board thanks to an RBI double in the bottom of the third to make it 8-1.
- For the third different inning, Christy knocked in a run, this time scoring Robbie Bertucio on a double to left field. The Blue Jays' lead was now at 10-2.
- Derek Manning, Kantner, Anthony Knight, and Bertucio also drove in runs during E-town's six-run sixth inning.
- Doug Hook, Tom Armstrong, and Taggart also collected RBIs in the final three innings.
- 13 different players had at least a hit for Elizabethtown, led by four from Christy. Knight, Bertucio, Riley McGinley, Eamon McCoubrey, and Armstrong had multi-hit efforts in the win.
- Cherry went four innings and struck out four batters before being relieved by Matt Barton. The freshman threw three effective innings out of the bullpen to earn the first win of his college career. Barton fanned three and did not issue a walk. Alex DeHaas and Kyle Glouner each got an inning to finish out the game for the Jays.
