ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Three different players scored for the Elizabethtown College men's lacrosse team in Tuesday's 13-4 loss to No. 2 York (Pa.) at Wolf Field.
Cody Richter had a pair of goals while
Nick Cost and
Andrew Watts also scored for the Blue Jays.
Tom Mahoney had a season-high in saves for E-town in goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- York (Pa.) (16-1) had a 4-0 lead after the first quarter as they forced Elizabethtown (8-7) into nine turnovers in the first 15 minutes and only allowed three shots to the Blue Jays.
- Down 6-0, Richter took advantage of a man-up opportunity to net his 18th of the season on a feed from
Nick Cost to make it 6-1.
- The Spartans scored a minute later and had a 7-1 advantage at halftime.
- Cost tallied his ninth of the year in the third quarter with 1:16 left, unassisted, to make it 10-2.
- The Blue Jays started the fourth with a pair of goals coming from Watts (man-up) and Richter's second of the game.
Mike Scrafano assisted on Watts' 17th of the season and
Mike DiGenova had the helper on Richter's 19th.
- YCP scored three times to close it out, 13-4.
- Mahoney had a season-high 16 saves for E-town. Jack Michael made six saves for York.
